Location: Llanddwyn Island, Anglesey
There is far more than just a wealth of ancient Welsh myths and legends in the air on the island of Llanddwyn. There's real love in those golden sand dunes because the island was once the home of Saint Dwynwen the patron saint of Welsh lovers. Dwynwen lived in a monastery on the island way back in the 5th Century and is fondly remembered by Welsh lovebirds on the 25th of January - an extra Valentine's Day. So be warned young lovers everywhere, only visit Llanddwyn Island if you can handle twice the romance!
But don't think that the odd tryst among the sand dunes won't go un-noticed. The island is home to a colony of unusual Soay sheep which are usually found up in Scotland. But no need to worry they are a breed known for their discretion!
