Location: Chirk Castle
Built in 1310 Chirk Castle was once a mighty fortress defending the Marcher borders. These days it is more famous for its gardens and park. The castle grounds also boast some great views voer the national walking trail - Offa's Dyke, which stretches from Chepstow to Prestatyn.
Chirk has its own romantic side thanks to Gwens - a bridal shop which creates handmade wedding dresses fit for a princess.
